strengthen the skills of using articles in sentences.

Overview:
The goal of this lesson is to introduce students to the geographical features. Additionally, the lesson includes a grammar component that focuses on the usage of the definite article and zero article (-) with the names of deserts, a group of mountains, hills, islands, oceans and forests. The grammar component introduces the usage of the definite article “the” and “zero article” (-) in various context. By completing the sentences about geographical features, students gain a practical understanding of when to use each form.
Equipment: pictures representing geographical features, projector, pictures, wordwall.

Yes, you are right, on these pictures are shown geographical features. Our new theme is connected with them. Today`s lesson we learn new geographical words, definite and zero articles. We will work on different tasks and apps. During the lesson I will evaluate you with bugs. For 1 answer I will give you by 1 bugs. At the end of the lesson you will count them and can get good marks. If you collect more than 7- you can get “5” more than 5-“4” more than 3-“3” marks.

T eacher explains definite article the and zero article. In pairs, students are tasked with completing the rules using examples from the exercise 5 on page 76. Once completed, the class collectively checks the answers in an open discussion. Ex:6 on page:77.
Next, the teacher writes the names of lakes, rivers, seas, forests, oceans and mountains on the board and prompts students to determine whether articles are used before them. Students should respond that “the” article is used with plural forms of the names of geographical features.
